Cranage is an Authorised Test Facility for testing and certifying products against American (UL) and Canadian (CSA) standards. Third party testing and NRTL certification is a legal requirement in these countries and we offer the QPS mark as a recognised alternative to UL/CSA approval.
As a Local Technical Representative of QPS, we also test products on your premises and provide CB Certification. This is a key requirement for any exporter seeking new business opportunities. A CB Certificate is like having a CE Mark but reduces barriers to trade on a worldwide scale.
We also offer a range of services for UK manufacturers exporting to the Middle East and Africa. Import inspection authorities in these countries require a Certificate of Conformity issued by an approved accreditation body otherwise consignments cannot be cleared through customs. Without appropriate documentation shipments may be withheld or returned to the country of origin and the importer fined.
Benefits of using Cranage:-
• Product approval timescales reduced from months to weeks
• Electrical product specialist
• One-stop shop for export compliance
UKAS accredited testing laboratory & Notified Body (2014/30/EU) with over 20 years experience in the conformity assessment business, Cranage has acquired a thorough knowledge of the standards, regulations and product approval requirements of many countries around the world.
Proving that a product or system delivers improved performance or minimises carbon contribution can be a difficult exercise especially if established tests or procedures fall short of being able to do this. At Cranage, we work with manufacturers to help develop verification protocols and testing platforms appropriate for demonstrating performance.
From baby toys to industrial machines Cranage supports corporate responsibility for product safety, identifying risk and advising on limitation, offering knowledge and technical expertise, and providing accredited testing facilities. The key to success and sustainability is to get us involved early in your project.
