In addition to UKAS accreditation, Cranage is also approved by the vehicle certification agency (VCA).

What is VCA?

VCA is the UK approval authority for the type approval of motor vehicles and components as well as a leading certification body offering management system certification to ISO 9000:2000, ISO 14001, ISO/TS 16949, QS-9000, EMAS as well as OHSAS 18001. VCA is a worldwide established authority with offices in the UK, North America, Japan, Malaysia, Korea and Taiwan offering total certification packages for vehicle and component manufacturers.

Secondly, we are now part of the EMC Test Laboratory Association.

What is EMCTLA?

The purpose of the Association is:

  • to provide the membership with up-to-date information on legislation, standards and other technical items related to EMC testing and design.
  • to promote equivalence in EMC testing and certification procedures such that a customer at a UK test lab will receive a uniform test requirements for a specific product from all EMCTLA members.
    Promote uniformity in the assessment of Technical Construction Files.
  • to supply membership to Bsi technical committees to represent the views of the association.
  • to seek representation on European and International committees where appropriate.
  • to maintain links with regulatory agencies in the EMC Field, in particular the Department of Trade & Industry, UKAS and the Radiocommunication Agency.

What does all this mean as a consumer?

These additions enable us to further our currently large testing scope and build on our excellent reputation as a UK test house.
