INTRODUCTION
The Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EEC applies to electrical and electronic
equipment
which utilise voltages in the range 50V to 1000V AC and 75V to 1500V DC.
Although the essential requirements for product safety have been in effect
since 1973, it was in 1997 when the CE marking regulation made it compulsory
to include safety as part of the self-assessment process.
In the European Union, CE marking is a legal
requirement and customs and enforcement authorities may ask you to
prove
that your product satisfies ALL the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive
2006/95/EEC.
What we do?
We inspect and test products for mechanical and electrical safety and
audit technical documentation as a means of verifying compliance.
How will I benefit?
Independent assessment, advice and technical reports which will support
your declaration of conformity.
Who does the work?
Professionally qualified engineers with relevant experience and sufficient
knowledge to recommend appropriate design changes if problems occur.
