As referenced on www.gov.uk, from 1st January 2021, the UKCA mark will be the conformity assessment mark for Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales), with additional information available for Northern Ireland.
Cranage EMC is automatically a UK-recognised approved body and can therefore work with manufacturers to ensure products are compliant with the UKCA requirements. Where goods will still be sold in the EU market, a CE mark will be required and our wholly owned Irish subsidiary company, Cranage Veritas, can assist. To get in touch with the team at Cranage Veritas, please visit www.cranage.ie.
Businesses are encouraged to use the UKCA as soon as they can, however the CE mark will continue to be recognised until the end of 2024 where EU and UK requirements remain the same.
Full details are available on the gov.uk website.
