Trainee wage of £18,000 + funded NVQ or BTEC in Electrical and Electronics Engineering



Opportunity for permanent employment in a product testing laboratory and learn Electrical and Electronics engineering leading to a BTEC qualification.

The Role

You’ll be involved in all the processes and facilities used to evaluate product safety and environmental performance.


As part of our highly skilled product testing and certification team you will be supported with full training and develop a good general knowledge of all the laboratory activities.


You will assist the Testing Team with the following:

• Routine maintenance, calibration and verification of test equipment in accordance with laboratory standards and procedures

• Producing routine calibration reports of test equipment

• Supervised testing of customer products in accordance with British, European, and International standards

• Servicing and development of test equipment and facilities

• Supporting continuous improvement efforts within the business



What you’ll need to be considered for the Multi-Skilled Technician role:

• GCSE Mathematics, Science, and English Language (grade A*-C / 9-4) or equivalent

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

• Hard working and self-motivated, with a keen interest to learn and develop your career in a science and engineering subject

• Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment whilst meeting tight deadlines

• Professional interpersonal skills, and a team player with a committed, flexible and positive approach to work
